Stratigraphy Counseling, LLC

Mallory V. White, EdS, MEd, LPCA, NCC

ABOUT MALLORY

Mallory earned her Bachelor of Arts at Middle Tennessee State University in anthropology with a concentration in archaeology. Her work in archaeology was driven by a deep interest in human culture and historical experiences. She spent time on various archaeological projects across the U.S., Poland and Australia, and credits her weeks spent with local Aboriginal tribesmen for helping her uncover the richest histories of the human experience and inspiring her return to the U.S. to study clinical counseling.

In 2013, Mallory graduated Clemson University with Masters of Education and Education Specialist degrees in Counseling. Her professional background includes work as a therapist at a psychiatric residential treatment facility (PRTF) for adolescent girls, Juvenile Drug Court Phase I counseling and 5+ years spent in the school setting.

Her background and interests in both counseling and archaeology provide a unique perspective and ability to see the human condition and her clients in layers, or "stratigraphy". Such a concrete and visual representation of life in layers helps her clients better connect to the counseling process and achieve the personal growth, insight and healing they're seeking.

Mallory currently resides in Upstate South Carolina with her husband, Michael, and five children. Her blended family includes stories of adoption and fostering that have helped shape strong values of compassion, empathy and kindness within her family.

The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.
