The Counseling Experience
Our lives unfold in layers that are often associated with the major events and milestones we experience. In time, new layers overlay the old ones, and the distance we begin to feel from those deepest layers can almost be charted on a map. The core of who you are, how you think, and what you believe lies within the stories of your layers.
Similarly, archaeologists use layers in the soil to help uncover rich histories and stories of the people
that left their mark where we now stand. These layers are known as
stratigraphy
and disturbances in the soil stratigraphy can hold the key to unlocking the lessons and mysteries
of the human experience. Your journey in counseling should be an educational and mind-opening experience that helps you
use the disturbances in your internal 'soil' to build new insight and awareness that facilitates personal growth and healing.

Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
